Bart Colson has joined the Belgian Eurofiber team as COO, bringing 25 years of B2B telecoms expertise with him.
When he previously joined Telenet (2004-2017), he was given responsibility for network operations. He then developed systems, processes and teams for service delivery and customer service in the B2B department at Telenet. Before that, Bart worked for BT Global Services (1995-2004) in a range of management positions. These assignments included developing the fiber optic and transmission network for BT’s Belgian business unit.
Bart is delighted to be joining the Eurofiber team: “These days, every company is busy digitising its internal processes and the way in which they serve their customers. Other concepts, such as the Internet of Things and Smart Cities are also becoming a reality. All of these trends are generating an explosive increase in demand for bandwidth. Eurofiber has a great asset to offer with its own high-performance infrastructure. Of course, ambitious growth plans also create a number of challenges when it comes to enabling teams, processes and systems to grow together – and that’s where I look forward to making a contribution.”
CEO Hans Witdouck about Bart’s appointment: “We are thrilled to have got Bart on board at Eurofiber! People with strong experience in the B2B market, combined with the right attitude, are hard to get hold of. If we are to facilitate our growth we need to keep making adjustments to our organisation and that means recruiting the right people. Bart has a great deal of experience, but the main reason I have brought him on board is to meet our objectives in service delivery and customer satisfaction. Eurofiber must stand out from the crowd in terms of service! Fortunately for us, that is one of his strengths. I also like people who are willing to roll up their sleeves, pull on their boots and get involved – rather than tell people what to do from a distance…”[ssbp]
